the stories in these books were SO scary….even as an adult, they freak me out!! i can’t believe i read these when i was young, but it’s true…everyone loved them around halloween. the one about the spider laying eggs in that girl’s cheek….ugh. the stuff of nightmares.
If you look at any “scary” books for kids now they are all colorful and cutesy. The cover art alone is creepy enough to bring on some nightmares. This was THE book to check out from the library in October in elementary school.
